MCT Release RTM driver for Windows Multipoint Server Video over USB Solution
In partnership with Microsoft as an IHV, MCT made its selected product line compatible with Window Multipoint Server 2010 providing Video over USB solution and released RTM driver.
Taipei, Taiwan -- (May 25, 2010) – Magic Control Technology (MCT), the global patent holder of Video over USB technology, in partner with Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) at Microsoft new multiuser computing operating system – WINDOW MULTIPOINT SERVER 2010, today announced that the company’s driver has approved by MSFT enable support the new Windows Multipoint Server 2010 operating system. MCT Multipoint USB kits are based on its own Video over USB technology made available in three docking system which are designed to bring ultra low-cost computing to education environment as well as SMB and governments.
MCT newly announced Multipoint Workstation 300 (MWS300) is one of the industry’s first USB thin client virtual workstations designed to function seamlessly with Windows Multipoint Server 2010. The MWS300 connects to the sever via a single USB 2.0 cable and provides connectivity for a complete workstation, including a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, microphone and four USB ports with power supply. The revolutionary MWS300 allows multiple users to leverage the resources available in today’s most powerful computer systems. The MWS300 supports standard displays up to 1600 x 1200, and widescreen displays up to 1680 x 1050. With support for up to 10 clients per host, expanding a Windows Multipoint Server 2010 is as easy as connecting a USB cable.
Never the less, MCT also announced a none powered USB kit - Multipoint Workstation (MWS8820) for the same feature as MWS300, this kit is using USB BUS Power without power adapter and simplify to two USB port that support keyboard and mouse.
Further, MWS8840, a smaller form factor designed with a mounting rack to fit at back of monitor and also work as a table stand that comes with full feature as MWS300 will be available in September 2010.
